Terms & privacy

The short version: you buy a key, your group plays the case, we don't track you, and if it doesn't work for you we'll refund you.

Terms of sale

• Each purchase gets you one license key for one case. A key works on up to 6 devices, for one group of friends, family or a couple. Please don't post keys publicly.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. They handle your card details and sales tax. We never see your card number.
• Your key doesn't expire. We'll keep each case online for as long as Stakeout is running.
• Cases are fiction. Any resemblance to real people or businesses is coincidental.

Privacy

• No accounts, no tracking. The site doesn't use analytics, ad trackers or cookies.
• Your progress stays on your device. Game progress, notes and your key are saved in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data clears them.
• Checking your key. When you enter your key, your browser sends it to Lemon Squeezy to confirm it's valid and register the device. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy.
• Purchases. Lemon Squeezy collects your email and billing details to process the sale and send your key. We can see your email and order so we can help with support.
• Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.

Refunds

If the game doesn't work on your devices, or you're unhappy for any reason, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. No interrogation required.
